Workshop

How does climate change cause or contribute to violent conflict? How can climate change lead to food riots? What can water diplomacy do to prevent conflict? These are some of the questions that representatives of the Climate Security Hub will be discussing in dialogue with Swedish foreign affairs professionals at an event in Stockholm.

The Stockholm Climate Security Hub is proud to contribute to discussions during the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs “EU- and Multilateral Days.” Experts from Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) and Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC) will present research on climate-related security challenges and the question of how to respond to them during panel discussions held for around 200 professionals from Swedish government departments and agencies.
